Foolscap are happy to announce our position as a Finalist in the 2013 Belle Interior Design Awards for our installation work at the Clemenger BBDO HQ in Melbourne. Tucked away amongst the scrub of Yallingup in Western Australia’s Margaret River, is a unique bakery offering Bio Dynamic Wood-fired Bread. We were lucky enough to visit Yallingup Woodfired Bread on a recent trip to WA, exploring the area for a new Foolscap project not to far off. We love lots of things at Foolscap Studio, and this Iwan Iwanoff home in Perth is pretty high on our list. Seeking inspiration for a current project incorporating concrete, texture and form, we were led to the famed Bulgarian expat, Iwan Iwanoff. His extensive work with concrete blocks, and solid exterior’s saw him as a ‘brutalist’ representative in the Australian architectural scene, particularly represented in his 1976 Marsala Home in Dianella. Foolscap have been on-board the sustainability train for a while now, and we have now decided to take the ethos to the bathroom with Who Gives A Crap recycled toilet paper.
