Tiny Cafe

Date: 2010

Project Address: 51 Cromwell Street, Collingwood VIC 3066

Foolscap jumped at the chance to design Tiny Cafe due (in the most part) to it’s unusual location- a ex- laundry cupboard under a set of stairs in the back streets of Collingwood.  The project also allowed Foolscap to work with Tiny’s larger than life founder, Michael Pham, on the identity of the space including naming, concept and interiors. The result is a clean, vibrant space that focuses on detail- in a space this small every millimeter counts. Using fold out joinery and a minimal palette of recycled materials Tiny cafe manages to neatly squeeze in a kitchen, coffee machine, storage and seating for up to 12 people.  Foolscap also managed the Town Planning process and consulted with the client on the building process.
